PRESENTATION
Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, born 5 February 1985 in Funchal, Madeira Island in Portugal, is considered as one of the greatest Players in the World of all time ! He has dominated World’s Football these ten last years with Lionel Messi, bringing the game at a Top Level !
Ronaldo has won 5 Ballon d’Or Awards, 4 European Golden Shoe, 7 IFFHS Awards, which are all records for an European player. He has won 29 important Trophies in his career, including six leagues titles (in 3 countries), 5 UEFA Champions Leagues (with two clubs), one European Championship and one UEFA Nations League with Portugal. He has scored until now 614 goals (825 games) for his clubs and 99 goals (164 matches) with his national team of Portugal, holding many records especially the record for the most goals scored in the UEFA Champions league (128) !

Born in Madeira, Cristiano Ronaldo was quickly located by Sporting CP at 12. He began also there his senior career, scoring 5 goals in the Primera Liga at 17 ! Manchester United signed Ronaldo at age 18 in 2003. With coach Sir Alex Ferguson, he achieved six fantastic seasons in England , winning three successive Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League title and a FIFA Club World Cup. At 23, he won there his first BALLON D’Or and FIFA Best Player Award in 2008. He scored 118 goals for Manchester United in 292 games, winning also his first Golden Shoe in Europe.
He moved in 2009 from England and Manchester to Spain and Real Madrid. He spent 9 years in Madrid, winning 15 titles, 2 La Liga, 2 Copa del Rey, 3 FIFA Club World Cups and especially 4 UEFA Champions League ! He scored 450 goals for Real Madrid in 438 matches, 311 goals in 292 La Liga games and 105 goals in 101 UEFA Champions League matches, becoming Real Madrid’s all-time Goal Scorer. He is the only player to reach 30 La Liga Goals in six consecutive seasons.

After joining Real, he finished three times runner-up at the FIFA BALLON D’OR behind his rival Lionel Messi, before winning 4 BALLON D’OR in 5 years between 2013 and 2017 ! He won in Madrid 3 other European Golden Shoe and 6 IFFHS Awards, 4 Trophies for THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER (international) and 2 trophies for THE WORLD’S BEST TOP DIVISION GOAL SCORER.With Real winning the 3 consecutive Champions Leagues, he became the first player to win five times the UEFA Champions League !

Cristiano Ronaldo was named the Best Portuguese Player of All-Time by the Federation in 2015. He has played for all youth Portuguese National Team U15, U17, U20, U21, U23 and made his senior debut in 2003 at 18. He earned since this date 164 international caps with Portugal, becoming Portugal’s most capped player and Portugal’s all-time Goal Scorer with 99 goals until now. He scored his first international goal at the Euro 2004 in Portugal, reaching the final of the competition and losing against Greece. He became captain in 2008, leading Portugal to his first ever Success in a major tournament, the UEFA Euro Championship 2016 in France, before winning the UEFA Nations League in 2019 ! In 2012, he took the third place at the UEFA Euro and in 2017, the same place in the FIFA Confederations Cup. He participated with Portugal at 4 FIFA World Cups from 2006 to 2018 without winning a medal in this competition.
