Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid scored 4 goals in FIFA Club World Cup to reach 103 goals on continental / world club level, including a hat-trick in the final match. He raised his 2016 total to 24 international goals (13 for Portugal and 11 for Real Madrid) and won the price for a record 3rd time, after 2013 and 2014.

Argentina’s Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona scored only 1 goal in December came second with 21 goals. He is followed by Uruguay’s Edinson Cavani of Paris St. Germain and Iraq’s Hammadi Ahmad of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, both with 16 goals.

Ronaldo scored most international goals (national team) with 13, followed by Belgian Romelu Lukaku with 11 and Vietnamese Công Vinh Lê with 10, while Iraqi Hammadi Ahmad (Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya ) is the player with most international club goals with 16, followed by Argentinian Messi (FC Barcelona ) and Brazilian Adriano (FC Seoul) with 13 goals each.
