Raul Gonzales Blanco, known as Raul, born 27 June 1977 in Madrid (Spain), is considered as one of the most important players in the history of Real Madrid CF. He hold the records of the most appearances with Real (741 games), the most appearances in La Liga with Real (550 games) and he has NEVER received a red card in his entire career from 1994 to 2015 !

After beginning his youth career in San Cristobal and Atlético Madrid, he signed in Real Madrid in 1992 and spent 18 years with LOS BLANCOS ! In 1994, he played with Real Madrid C Team and B team (8 matches, 16 goals) before to be joined in the A Team the same year, 17 years old. He played 741 matches with Real Madrid (550 matches in La Liga) and scored 323 goals (228 in La Liga), winning 6 La Liga titles (1994/95, 1996/97, 2000/01, 2002/03, 2006/07, 2007/08), 3 UEFA Champions League (1997/98, 1999/2000, 2001/02), 4 Supercopa de Espana (1997, 2001, 2003, 2008), one UEFA Super cup (2002) and two Intercontinental Cups (1998,2002). From 2003 to 2010, he was captain of the team, winning also many individual Trophies, 5 times Best Spanish Player La Liga, 2 times UEFA Champions League Top Goal Scorer of the Year, FIFA World Player Bronze Award 2001, second at the BALLON D’OR 2001 and the Award of THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER 1999 by IFFHS !

He signed in 2010 in Germany at Schalke 04 where he won a German Cup 2011 and a DFL Supercup the same year with 98 matches and 40 goals! In 2012, he went for two years to Al Said in Qatar. He played 61 matches and scored 16 goals winning the Qatar Stars League 2013 and the Emir of Qatar Cup 2014. He ended his career with New York Cosmos in 2015, also winning the Soccer Bowl and the Spring season of the NA Soccer League (32 matches, 9 goals).

Appearing in 3 World Cups (1998, 2002, 2006) and 2 UEFA Euro (2000 and 2004), he didn’t win any major competition with his national team Spain. He was capped 102 times with La Roja and scored 44 goals, the record in Spain. One record more for Raul, who played more than 1000 matches in his career, only 18 players have achieved this landmark.
