PRESENTATION
Thierry Henry, born on 17 August 1977 in Les Ulis France, has made a fantastic player career and currently began a new management job. Considered as one of the best strikers of all time, he has won the greatest Trophies : World Cup 1998 and the UEFA Euro 2000 with France ; UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup with FC Barcelona !
After his youth career in Les Ulis, Palaiseau, Viry-Chatillon, INF Clairefontaine and AS Monaco, Henry made his professional debut with AS Monaco in 1994, where he played 105 matches (20 goals) until 1999. He won there the Division 1 title 1996/97 and his debut with France National Team to win the World Cup 1998 in France !

His success with 21 years old led him to sign for Juventus in Italy in 1999. He stayed there only some 16 matches (3 goals) before joining in the same year Arsenal FC in England. With coach Arsène Wenger, Thierry Henry became a world class striker and Arsenal’s all-time leading top goal scorer with 228 goals in all competitions ! He played with Arsenal 254 Premier League matches and scored 174 goals between 1999 and 2007. He won 2 Premier League titles 2001/02 and 2003/04, 2 FA Cups 2001/02, 2002/03, 2 FA Community Shields 2002, 2004 and was runner-up in the UEFA Champions League 2005/06. He was named Premier League Player of the year twice and runner-up for the FIFA World Player of the year and Ballon d’Or runner-up, winning in 2003 the IFFHS Award THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER. He won also 4 Premier League Golden Boots and many distinctions for his fantastic career.
Arsenal FC : a great adventure
In 2007 after 8 years in Arsenal, he went to FC Barcelona for three years. He established there a fantastic record with the club : an unprecedented sextuple ! He won La Liga title, la Copa del Rey, la Supercopa de Espana, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in the same year 2009 ! After another La Liga title in 2010 and 35 goals in 80 matches with FC Barcelona in La Liga, he joined New York Red Bulls of MLS, where he won the MLS Supporter’s Shield in 2013.He returned two months on loan to Arsenal (2012) before retiring in 2014 in New York.

Thierry Henry was also very successful with the France National Team. He amassed 123 appearances and scored 51 goals between 1997 and 2010, winning the greatest Trophies : the FIFA World Cup 1998, the UEFA Euro 2000 and the FIFA Confederations Cup 2003, being also runner-up at the FIFA World Cup 2006 ! He retired from international football in 2010 after becoming the best goal scorer in the history of France national team.
Henry began then managerial career after some years in the youth of Arsenal before being an assistant coach with Belgium National team from 2016 to 2018, taking the third place at the World Cup 2018 in Russia. He was named head coach in AS Monaco for 2018/2019, but was replaced in January 2019.
