Markus Merk (THE WORLD’S BEST REFEREE 2005) , Petr Cech (THE WORLD’S BEST GOALKEEPER 2005) and José Mourinho (THE WORLD’S BEST CLUB COACH 2005) received their Trophies at the SPORT STUDIO in Mainz (Germany) live on TV.
The IFFHS has determined 8 Awards in the year 2005. The Federation decided to not continue officially the Award THE WORLD’S MOST EFFECTIVE TOP DIVISION GOAL SCORER .
Brazilian IFFHS Trophies in Switzerland for Carlos Alberto Parreira (THE WORLD’S BEST NATIONAL COACH 2005), Adriano (THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER 2005) and Dida (second of THE WORLD’S BEST GOALKEEPER 2005) with the presence of Mario Zagalo (THE WORLD’S BEST NATIONAL COACH 1997).
