Copa America 2021: Complete schedule
The long-awaited Copa America 2021 to be held in Brazil will kick off tomorrow, after being postponed because of the Covid outbreak a year ago. This will be the 47th edition of the tournament that brings together the South American nations since 1916, being the oldest national team soccer competition in history. Powerful sides are going to face each other aiming to claim the highly desired title, which had 8 different winners through History (see IFFHS Post in May).

The tournament will be played once again in Brazil after 2019 because Argentina and Colombia were removed as co-hosts due to the Pandemic. This year the invitation for other nations like Australia and Qatar was decided to step down and only the South American teams will be participating. The ten countries will be represented by their men's national soccer teams, which will be divided into two groups of five. The first four of Group A and B will move on to the quarter-finals. Only the two bottom-placed sides won't progress to that round.
