Youngest player (including qualification): Martin Ødegaard
The Norwegian Martin Ødegaard is the youngest player in the history of the European Championships, including qualifying and final tournaments. In 2014, he took part in the qualifying match against Bulgaria at the age of 15 years 300 days.
This is the only case of a player under the age of 16 in the history of the competition so far.
Ødegaard became also the youngest player to start a European Championship match. This happened on 29 March 2015, in a qualifier vs Croatia, when Ødegaard was 16 years and 101 days old.
